CLEAResult Consulting Great Lakes VP Tim Hardesty Speaks at NCAF Conference

OKEMOS, Mich., Nov. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- CLEAResult Consulting Great Lakes vice president Tim Hardesty was a featured presenter at the National Community Action Foundation (NCAF) conference in St. Petersburg, Florida on November 3rd and 4th. A 33-year energy consulting veteran, Hardesty spoke about the value of building partnerships between Community Action Agencies and private sector companies such as CLEAResult in order to bid and win large utility energy efficiency program contracts.

NCAF is the Washington, DC based advocate for Community Action Agencies (CAAs) across the country. NCAF formulates and promotes federal legislative program initiatives designed to strengthen the ability of CAAs to serve low-income clients and communities.

Hardesty, who has led many of Michigan's energy efficiency programs, presented with Sharon Theroux of the Michigan Community Action Agency Association (MCAAA), focusing on how to identify and build a good partnership between a state CAA association and a private sector company, how to define the roles each will play, and what it takes to make a winning submission.

In June of 2009, MCAAA partnered with CLEAResult Consulting in Michigan to win the contract to become the state Energy Optimization (EO) administrator for eleven Michigan utilities.

In the Michigan partnership, CAA's will utilize resources and infrastructure already in place to cost-effectively serve income-qualified customers by helping reduce their energy bills. CLEAResult Consulting brings administrative resources, such as program data tracking, call center support, rebate processing, and other tools to successfully run energy efficiency programs.
