Over 14 students avail RasGas internship programme

RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) recently marked the conclusion of its highly popular ‘2017 Summer Internship’ programme with a special event held at the RasGas headquarters.
This year’s programme hosted over 14 interns across all sectors of the organisation, providing invaluable experience within the global energy company’s multicultural environment.
“Quality internships are essential to develop the skills and capabilities of Qatar’s next generation of professionals,” said RasGas Chief Executive Officer, Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi. “To this end, RasGas is deeply committed to our summer internship initiative, which enables students to practically apply their studies under the guidance of world-class mentors and within the context of teamwork, responsibility and innovation.”
This was RasGas’ ninth annual Internship Programme, which has, in total, hosted more than 300 students since its inception in 2009.
Al Muhannadi added: “For RasGas, this is an opportunity to meaningfully engage with students, and it has been hugely rewarding to be part of their careers at such a pivotal point in their professional journey.”
The programme underlines RasGas’ commitment to education in support of the Qatar National Vision 2030, which has manifested in the company’s significant investment in bursaries and training and development programmes.
RasGas is one of the world’s premier integrated liquefied natural gas (LNG) enterprises and has an enviable reputation for being a safe and reliable supplier of LNG that has transformed a regional resource into a key component of the global energy mix. RasGas manages and operates seven LNG trains, two sales gas production facilities, two helium plants as well as a long-term charter fleet of over two dozen LNG tankers.
