Oil service stocks have come under pressure over the course of the trading session on Wednesday, dragging the Philadelphia Oil Service Index down by 2 percent. With the drop, the index has fallen to its lowest intraday level in almost a month.
The weakness among oil service stocks comes despite a modest increase by the price of crude oil, as crude for November delivery rose $0.16 to $52.04 a barrel.
