After Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited cancelled the licence for petrol pump allotted in 2011 to RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav's elder son and Health Minister Tej Pratap Yadav on the basis of forged documents submitted at BPCL, pressure is mounting on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to sack Tej Pratap for cheating.

BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has said that Tej Pratap acquired the petrol pump licence by showing the land on which the petrol pump is built as his own when the fact was that the land was owned by someone else.

Modi alleged that Tej Pratap has also hidden the details of 45 dismil land worth Rs 54 lakhs owned by him in Aurangabad on which there is a four storied showroom of a two wheeler company. Tej Pratap has not provided details of this property in his election affidavit of 2015.

The BJP leader has demanded that apart from Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav, who has been named in the FIR registered by the Central Bureau of Investigation for acquiring benami properties, Nitish should also act against his brother Tej Pratap Yadav and sack both of them from his cabinet.

It is notable that Sushil Modi had complained to Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited about the forged documents submitted by Tej Pratap to acquire petrol pump following which an enquiry was conducted by the petroleum company. Later, they found the allegations against Tej Pratap to be true and therefore cancelled the licence allotted to him.

BJP has already submitted the memorandum in the Election Commission of India regarding Tej Pratap Yadav hiding details of his property in the election affidavit of 2015 and have demanded terminating him as member of the Legislative Assembly.
