A convicted Serbian assassin looks like the mystery man spotted near Jill Dando’s home on the day of her murder 25 years ago, an expert has claimed.

Milorad Ulemek has been mentioned after analysis of a grainy CCTV image of a man seen close to the TV presenter’s home in Fulham, west London. Dando, 37, a BBC newsreader and host of Crimewatch, was shot in the back of the head on her doorstep on April 26, 1999.

She was killed weeks after hosting a television appeal that raised £54 million for Kosovan refugees who fled Serbian paramilitaries during the Yugoslavia civil war.
