Seventh-Day Adventist Regional Conference Retirement Plan Searching for a CIO

A candidate should have 10 years of experience and an investment credential, like a CFA charter. 


The Regional Conference Retirement Plan, a retirement system for the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, is searching for a CIO, according to a
recent job posting.  

“Under the direction of the RCRP Board of Trustees, the CIO is responsible for leading and executing the RCRP investment strategy and coordinating the operations of the RCRP Board of Trustees. The CIO is responsible for executing investment policies and activities as directed by the Investment Committee,” states the job posting.  

According to the posting, the candidate should have at least 10 years of institutional investing experience and a CFA or similar certification. Candidates with supervisory experience or master’s degrees are preferred. The RCRP is based in Huntsville, Alabama.

  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and a high degree of ethics; 
  • Knowledge of the principles of investment, finance, economics, and portfolio theory, particularly as they pertain to the operation of a pension fund; 
  • Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, and professional standards regarding the investment of pension funds; and 
  • The highest ethics and integrity; strength of character to hold self and others accountable to high standards of performance. 

The salary range, according to the job posting, is $150,000 – $300,000
