As Buffy the Vampire Slayer fans excitedly await the series reboot, many are going back to binge the classic 90s series from the beginning.
Created by writer and director Joss Whedon, Buffy continues to be a favourite of the supernatural TV genre, and is still being picked up by new fans over 25 years later.
There is also even more buzz around the show following the announcement of the reboot, which will reportedly welcome back Gellar in a recurring role and as an executive producer.
The cult classic show, which ran from 1997 to 2003, launched many of its actors into further stardom, including Sarah Michelle Gellar, Alyson Hannigan and David Boreanaz.
However, eagle-eyed fans might not realise just how many famous faces appear in Buffy, with some stars taking on minor roles in the show early on in their careers.
Without further ado, here’s every celebrity you might have forgotten appeared in the Buffyverse.
Pedro Pascal
Before his memorable roles in shows like The Last of Us, Narcos, The Mandalorian and Game of Thrones, Pedro Pascal had a minor role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In season 4, episode 1, entitled ‘The Freshman’, he appears as a sweet freshman Buffy meets on her first day of college before things go terribly wrong.
Wentworth Miller
Prison Break star Wentworth Miller also had a small role in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, appearing in season 2, episode 20, ‘Go Fish’.
He played Gage, a member of Buffy’s high school swim team, who start rapidly improving, but at an insane cost.
Clea DuVall
Hollywood star Clea DuVall, who has appeared in films like Girl, Interrupted and But I’m a Cheerleader, took centre stage for one early episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
In season 1, episode 11, ‘Out of Mind, Out of Sight’, she plays a shy girl called Marcie Ross who tragically becomes invisible.
Nathan Fillion
TV star Nathan Fillion, known for his roles in shows like Castle, Firefly and Serenity, appeared in the final season of Buffy as the evil Caleb.
The corrupt preacher helps carry out the First Evil’s devious plans, and he makes a lasting impact on the Scooby Gang.
Shane West
ER actor and teen heartthrob Shane West also appeared beside Wentworth Miller in ‘Go Fish’ as a member of the swim team.
Amy Adams
Award-winning actress Amy Adams, who has appeared in films like Arrival, American Hustle and Enchanted, also had a small part in Buffy early in her career.
She plays a member of Tara’s religious family who warns her against witchcraft in season 5, episode 6, ‘Family’.
Kal Penn
Harold and Kumar star Kal Penn appeared in the infamous season 4 episode ‘Beer Bad’, which is not a favourite amongst fans, as one of the many drunken college kids Buffy meets.
Ashanti
In season 7, episode 14 entitled First Date, Xander’s beautiful but suspicious new girlfriend Lissa is played by R&B star Ashanti.
John Ritter
TV actor John Ritter played the loathsome Ted Buchanan in season 2, episode 11, ‘Ted’. While at first he is introduced as a charming love interest for Buffy’s mother Joyce, he clearly has more sinister motives.
Rachel Bilson
The O.C. star Rachel Bilson starred in season 7, episode 18, ‘Dirty Girls’ as one potential slayer, bizarrely appearing in Xander’s erotic dream.
