MITCHELL — Vantage Point Solutions has announced the acquisition of the engineering services division from Dakota Environmental, Inc. The move allows Dakota Environmental to focus on its petroleum consulting services while strengthening Vantage Point’s existing engineering and regulatory permitting services.
Brian Friedrichsen, PE, anchors the acquired engineering services. He and the team have joined Vantage Point Solutions as part of the transition.
“We’re excited to add new services and new capabilities to our team. Their staff are great at what they do, and their experience is a great fit for our regulatory permitting and engineering groups,” said Chad Glanzer, PE, president of Vantage Point. “The combined group can offer more depth to our full-service solutions in this area.”
The services acquired include civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, agricultural facility engineering, facility planning evaluation, environmental permitting, stormwater management, solid waste management, construction observation, surveying, soil boring and monitoring well installation and sampling as well as other related services previously performed by Dakota Environmental’s engineering division.
Dakota Environmental retains its focus on petroleum services including certified tank inspections, state of the art tank cleaning services and petroleum remediation.
“Splitting off the engineering made a lot of sense for us,” said Jim White, owner and president of Dakota Environmental. “This is a family thing, and we want to focus on the petroleum consulting we do. Vantage Point has resources that complement the engineering pieces, so they can really go to the next level. It creates a great future on both sides.”
Vantage Point, headquartered in Mitchell, will establish a presence in Huron, where Dakota Environmental is located. Huron will become Vantage Point’s 12th physical office location nationwide.
