For many, the homes seen on television aren’t just backdrops — they’re dream destinations.
A new survey of 2,000 Americans reveals that 48 percent would swap their current residence to live in their favorite TV home, with iconic properties from Full House, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and The Golden Girls topping the list.
The survey was conducted by Talker Research on behalf of Travelbinger.com.
Leading the pack is the Tanner family’s Victorian home from Full House. The San Francisco property — featuring four bedrooms and three bathrooms — was listed for sale in 2024 with a price tag of $6.5 million.
Coming in second is the Banks’ mansion from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, a sprawling Los Angeles estate that remains a symbol of 1990s luxury.
Rounding out the top three is Blanche Devereaux’s Miami home from The Golden Girls, proving that some TV homes never fade from memory.
While 48 percent of respondents are eager to relocate for a prime-time dream home, 41 percent say they’d prefer to stay put.
The desire to swap homes decreases with age—64 percent of Gen Z and 59 percent of millennials are open to the idea, but that number drops to 52 percent for Gen X and just 37 percent for baby boomers.
Other iconic TV homes making the top 20 include Monica’s apartment from Friends, the Bridgerton mansion, and Tony Soprano’s New Jersey estate. Some fans even dream of taking up residence in the White House from Veep or Logan Roy’s luxury penthouse from Succession.
