Liam Neeson spilled the tea about nearly being 007, sharing that James Bond producers once had their eyes on him for the iconic role.
Chatting it up on the Conan O'Brien Needs A Friend podcast, he recalled how interest bubbled up post-Schindler's List, revealing: "They were interested in me after Schindler's List."
He gave the skinny about a convo with a journo who probed why he didn't snag the Bond gig, to which he responded, "No I wasn't offered James Bond.' I think I was on their radar for five minutes."
Conan, ever the inquisitive host, pushed Liam further about his potential as Bond, and Neeson admitted that initially, he expressed enthusiasm: "Yeah, when I first started getting a couple of calls about whether I'd be interested, I said 'yeah, I would be'."
Yet a plot twist loomed courtesy of his girlfriend at the time (and future missus) Natasha Richardson, who laid down the law quite clearly: "Natasha and I weren't married at the time, and she said 'If you are offered James Bond, we're not getting married'."

Neeson, eager to tie the knot with Natasha, recounted this with humor to Ronan, noting that her ultimatum likely stemmed from fear of him being surrounded by movie siren co-stars, reports the Express.
Liam first crossed paths with Natasha in 1993 when they were both performing on Broadway. They got hitched a year later and had two sons, Micheál and Daniel.
Tragically, Natasha passed away at the young age of 45 in a skiing accident in 2009.
The actor has had an incredibly successful career, starring in numerous blockbuster films over the past few decades. One of his most praised roles was in the action-thriller Taken, where he portrayed a father on a mission to find his kidnapped daughter.
However, his most notable performance was arguably in the 1993 film, Schindler's List. His portrayal was so successful that he was nominated for Best Actor at both the Academy Awards and the Golden Globes.
